Drives two independent HDMI displays from a single USB-C port using DisplayPort Alt Mode. Each output supports up to 4K at 30 Hz, ideal for dual-monitor productivity setups.
Driving two independent HDMI displays from a single USB-C port, this adapter cable splits a DisplayPort Alt Mode signal into two outputs, each capable of 4K at 30 Hz. It targets dual-monitor productivity, where a laptop with one video-capable USB-C port must feed a pair of external screens. Multi-Stream Transport or the host's display controller determines whether the outputs are truly independent or mirrored. The short 0.3-meter body sits close to the laptop with two HDMI leads fanning out. Presentation rigs and desk setups are its main use. Because it packs conversion silicon, it runs pricier than a plain cable, around $25 to $45.
