## What Actually Changed

- **Wi-Fi 5**: Made 5 GHz mainstream, fast enough for 4K streaming
- **Wi-Fi 6**: OFDMA + MU-MIMO for better performance in crowded homes
- **Wi-Fi 6E**: 6 GHz band = more channels, less congestion
- **Wi-Fi 7**: MLO (multi-link) uses all bands simultaneously

## When to Upgrade

- Still on Wi-Fi 4 or 5? Upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 — meaningful improvement
- Wi-Fi 6 working fine? No rush to upgrade yet
- Wi-Fi 7 is future-proof but devices are still expensive
