ALLM macht das manuelle Umschalten des Fernsehers in den Spielemodus beim Spielen und zurück in den Kinomodus beim Filmeschauen überflüssig. Die Konsole signalisiert dem Fernseher über HDMI, die Niedriglatenz-Verarbeitung zu aktivieren. Ohne ALLM kann die TV-Bildverarbeitung 30-100ms Eingabelatenz hinzufügen, wodurch Spiele träge wirken.
