## How to Tell Them Apart

- **Check the packaging** for speed rating
- **Look for icons** on the cable or connector (⚡ = Thunderbolt, SS = SuperSpeed)
- **Check the price** — if it's suspiciously cheap, it's probably USB 2.0
- **Feel the cable** — thicker cables usually carry more wires for higher speeds

## Why It Matters

Using a USB 2.0 cable with a Thunderbolt dock means no video output, no fast data, and possibly no charging. The cable looks identical but functions completely differently.
