Converting a USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode output to an HDMI signal, this cable connects a USB-C laptop directly to a television or monitor at 4K and 60 Hz with HDR. It integrates the DP-to-HDMI conversion inside the connector, so no separate adapter or dongle is needed. The source port must support DP Alt Mode; ports limited to data and power will not produce video. An 18 Gbps HDMI 2.0 ceiling matches the 4K 60 Hz target. Two meters is the common length for desk and living-room use. Laptop-to-television and laptop-to-monitor connections are its everyday role, at $10 to $20.
