Cable को बहुत तेजी से bend करना internal wires को तोड़ सकता है या shielding को degrade कर सकता है। General rule: data cables के लिए minimum bend radius cable diameter का 4 गुना होता है। Fiber optic cables विशेष रूप से sensitive होती हैं — bend radius को exceed करना light leakage और signal loss का कारण बनता है।
