Reaching 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz, this USB-C to HDMI 2.1 cable pushes the full 48 Gbps of the HDMI 2.1 standard from a USB-C source. Those modes require a host with a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4-class port, since earlier USB-C video outputs cannot supply the bandwidth. The cable converts DisplayPort Alt Mode to HDMI internally and marks its direction from source to display. A 2-meter run is standard for connecting a recent laptop or handheld to an 8K television or high-refresh monitor. It is aimed at owners of current hardware pairing USB-C machines with HDMI displays.
