HDMI sinyali çıkışı için DP++ çift mod kullanan pasif adaptör kablosu. 4K@30Hz'e kadar destekler. Yalnızca DP kaynağından HDMI girişine çalışır.
Relying on DisplayPort dual-mode, or DP++, this passive cable allows a graphics output to emit an HDMI signal without any conversion chip, reaching up to 4K at 30 Hz. Dual-mode is a capability the source must advertise: the DP port detects the HDMI sink and switches its signaling to HDMI 1.4 levels, about 10.2 Gbps here. The link works in one direction only, from a DP source to an HDMI display, and will not operate in reverse. Its lack of active silicon keeps it inexpensive but caps resolution below what active adapters achieve. Connecting a desktop GPU to an HDMI-only television or monitor is its usual role, at $6 to $12.
