El Modo Alt es lo que hace de USB-C un conector verdaderamente universal. El Modo Alt DisplayPort envía señales DP nativas sobre los pines USB-C, habilitando salida de video directa sin conversión de protocolo. También existen Modo Alt HDMI y Modo Alt MHL pero son menos comunes.
