MST divide el ancho de banda de DisplayPort entre monitores en cadena o un hub, dando a cada pantalla una señal independiente. Un solo puerto DP 1.4 puede manejar dos monitores 4K@60Hz o tres monitores 1440p a través de MST. HDMI no soporta MST.
