## HDMI: The Universal Choice
**Best for**: TVs, game consoles, streaming devices, projectors
HDMI is everywhere. Every TV, game console, and streaming device has HDMI. Version 2.1 supports 4K@120Hz, 8K@60Hz, VRR, and eARC for high-quality audio.
**Limitations**: No daisy-chaining. Maximum 15m for passive cables at 4K.
## DisplayPort: The PC Standard
**Best for**: PC monitors, multi-monitor setups, high refresh rate gaming
DisplayPort has higher bandwidth than HDMI (DP 2.1 = 80 Gbps vs HDMI 2.1 = 48 Gbps). It supports daisy-chaining monitors and is standard on PC graphics cards.
**Limitations**: Almost no TVs have DisplayPort. Not on game consoles.
