Ground Loop
AudioAn unwanted current path between two grounded devices causing audible hum or buzz in audio systems.
When two devices (e.g., laptop and amplifier) are grounded through different outlets, a small voltage difference creates a 50/60 Hz hum. Solutions include ground loop isolators, optical cables (TOSLINK), balanced connections (XLR), or powering both devices from the same outlet.
