Connecting multiple displays in series through a single output port, each monitor passing the signal to the next.
DisplayPort and Thunderbolt support daisy-chaining via Multi-Stream Transport (MST). A single port on your laptop can drive 2-3 monitors connected in a chain. Each monitor needs a DP-out port. HDMI does not support daisy-chaining.
